Project Overview
Link needed to pivot their product focus from a smart collar to an AI-powered health app. The new app aimed to provide comprehensive pet health management, including features like veterinary connections, health reminders, and personalized care advice. Due to architectural constraints, a complete redesign was not possible, so incremental changes were implemented. As the UX designer, I worked on integrating new features and improving the user experience, ensuring pet owners could seamlessly manage their pets’ health and connect with veterinary services.
Information Architecture
As part of the incremental updates to the Link app, I developed comprehensive information architecture diagrams for various new features. These diagrams were essential in visualizing the structure and flow of information within the app, ensuring a logical and user-friendly experience.
I worked closely with stakeholders and the development team to balance feasibility and stakeholder satisfaction within very tight timeframes. The diagrams facilitated:
- Feature Planning: Providing a clear blueprint for integrating new features, helping to identify potential challenges and streamline the development process.
- User Experience: Mapping out the user journey and interactions to ensure each feature was accessible and intuitive for users.
- Collaboration: Enhancing communication and collaboration among the design and development teams, ensuring everyone had a clear understanding of project requirements and goals.
- Feasibility: Determining what was realistically achievable within the constraints, ensuring that the delivered features met stakeholder expectations while being feasible to build in the given timeframes.
